Earliest I’ve been in for 1 in a long time. As C-man mentioned, we got to try a bottle of the '04 Victory a few months ago. It was a big hit along with some of Clayfu’s higher end PN’s that he brought that night. I probably would have been in for more than 1 but I just can’t see myself spending this much on the Syrah’s, no matter how nice they might be. It was definitely the Victory blend (and the fact that it’s Mr. Wellington’s stuff) that had me in so early.

In for a pair, since I have two of the Victory in the cellar already. I don’t have tasting notes, but I did swing back to Wellington a second day, and had more of the Victory. I really liked that wine.

I didn’t realize I was being prophetic when I called LabROUS a victoriues winemaker, but here it is.
I really don’t think I can go in on this one. I put myself on that SIWBM, and this much for two bottles is way out of my pricerange even though I love Syrah. Especially since I just found a very nice 2BR/2Bath Condo that I will probably put an offer on in the next couple days. A bit further east than I really wanted, but when it’s more than 80k less than what I could find of comparable quality a bit more this direction, I may just have to suffer with the extra 15 min commute for that price savings.
If anyone would like to gift me a set as a housewarming gift, that would certainly be most appreciated.

Oh, the cruelty! Why no NH this week? Why? Why? You will all be taunting me “I got SonomaBouliste’s wine, did you?” and I’ll have to say “no, it wasn’t shipping to my state”, and you will all laugh at me. Kids can be cruel like that.
Boy, these are going fast - I ordered one with my birthday money from my husband - I’ll share of course but what a nice way to start into my last year in my 50’s.
