OMG! I can charge my cell phone with a 10 dollars solar cell array,
But this is a good price. Honda 2000 watt inverters are around 800 bucks and I have seen inside both cases. They are built in the same factory.
Fact, but I will say the Hondas have better components and quality control.
Personally I would take a generator over a inverter any day, Only draw back generators are louder.

Thanks for the feedback on this.
BTW - this is why I dislike the comment that they’re built in the same factory. While true, it all depends on the engineer’s design and specs.

Noise rating…
The description on the product page says “Our 79.7 cc 4-stroke OHV engine operates at an extremely quiet 51 decibels”.
The product manual says “63 dB at 22 feet”.
Neither state whether this is at full/half/quarter load.
Is there any additional information on the noise level of this generator?

Ed3rd,
Thanks for catching the discrepancy and sorry for the lack of details. 51 dB is our rating with no load on the generator while 63 dB is an extremely conservative rating at full load. For reference, a normal conversation from three-feet away is rated between 60 to 65 dB according to the US Department of Health and Human Services. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Ed3rd,
while 63 dB is an extremely conservative rating at full load. .
Does extremely conservative mean it is usually higher or lower at full load?

Lower - 63 dB is as loud as it would ever be.
