I picked up one of these the last go round and it works fine but is quite a bit more noisy than one is led to believe in the descriptions. Not ear splitting but certainly noticeable.

#4

The specs don’t say if the generator is OK or NO WAY for California. Thank you CARB!

#5

The Amazon site shows that it is CARB compliant.

…as the barn door closes.

Hey WOOT, great offer for today. Just an FYI though. As a long time resident of Fla. This would have been nice BEFORE hurricane season, BEFORE hurricane!

#8

This SC resident absolutely agrees!!!

#9

As a resident of Florida, you are going to want something a bit more capable

#10

I said something about that the last time these were on sale, early last week…

Look at the Wootstalker post for the days we sold it previously. We did! We did!

#12

Would this be good for busking - my kid needs to power an electric keyboard. Looking for a way for him to help support the family.

#13

So all those previous hurricanes were not enough of a clue?

#14

Oh, I have the big one (5000 watts), I need a small one to run at night so my neighbors don’t revolt. lol

#15

Any thoughts on this versus Harbor Freight’s 4000 watt for $339?

#16

All I could suggest is there might be an online review or two. Lots of generator reviews on youtube. Hondas are great but 2-3 times the cost although there is quality there IMO.

Technically hurricane season begins in June but I get your point. My bad, Musta missed those. And I coulda swore I checked WOOT every day…must be gettin’ old…er.

#18

It is CARB Compliant.

Bought mine in April, which I believe is before June.

We own the one from harbor freight and have had no issues. A bit more noise than this 70 db vs. 50 but you would expect that for a unit twice the size. It also depends on what you want to use it for. I have a small one like this for camping but its a whisper one because I hated the noise. Not good for a lot but running a light and a fan ect. The larger one will run the fridge and lights.
