500lb capacity? But, if you continue reading, it says 250lb EVENLY DISTRIBUTED for each platform! Folks, that’s what I would call a very LIGHT duty “scaffold” for some quite lightweight people & a few hand tools, nothing heavy, mind you. Besides, that’s a pretty flimsy looking thing to me, and those platforms look unsafe with those slick, painted surfaces, especially if anything were to be accidentally spilled on them. You’d do yourself a service, keep yourself much safer, have a larger platform that will hold more weight, and equipment, SAFELY, on an unpainted wooden surface by buying a REAL, small type scaffold from Northern Tool or Tractor Supply for just a bit more $, and a much more substantial & safe scaffold that will last you a lot longer, too. And, you can buy accessories, like safety rails, and outrigger stabilizers, to make it even more safe.
