Amazon Reviews

My daughter in law just took down 2 trees that grew from weeds down with this bad boy yesterday. She loves it and so does her mother, who she borrowed it from.

What’s the maximum thickness branch that can be cut with this?

This is from an Amazon review:

“It does a great job on 2-4” branches, cutting easily and cleanly. I did cut down one 8" diameter branch. I had to cut through from either side and it took a while, but the end result was good. An 8" branch was definitely approaching the limits of what this saw can handle. I also used the saw to cut some small (<1") branches just because I couldn’t reach them with a lopper from the ground. The saw cut through them easily, but it leaves the stumps looking ragged. I would guess that all pole or chain saws would perform this way on small, flexible branches."

Based on that, I’m going to guess it’s a 4 to 5" chain bar.

Thanks! I got $10 worth of surprise points to make it 52.99 and earn $15 worth of points back.

I’d say that is directly proportional to your dedication. If you are immortal and have an endless supply of these and we assume society’s continued stability and ability to supply power, you could slowly cut away basically any amount of wood you like.

I have used mine exhaustively since I got it and have had no problem with limbs that were up to 8" in diameter. I have to warn you that having one is quite addictive…I find that I have to remind myself often to leave some branches…

I got a green version of this and only in first use, it paid several times for its price (I got it close to $50). You can’t go wrong with it, unless you are one accident prone person, knowing how to put yourself in trouble:)
