No laser to mark the cutting line? I think that’s an essential feature these days.

Have a DeWalt 12" compound miter saw - sans laser. Instead, it has a reflective LED that casts a very narrow shadow line delineating the line of cut. Compared to the laser line on an older Bosch 10" unit, the shadow line is much easier to use – AND – considerably more accurate. UNFORTUNATELY, the WEN saw has neither of these cut alignment devices, necessarily making it a no-go, no buy offering frm here.

Woot!, you people need to get your floating-in-the-punchbowl, “stuff” together. Not only are your prices very poor/non-competitive these days, your products are sorely lacking. Won’t be long before this account is canceled if such continues to continue…

I agree. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

My feelings as well. Woot is no longer the crazy amazing daily deals site I used to eagerly wait till midnight for. Now it’s just a daily catalog for random Amazon crap.

I still prefer a tape measure and pencil. I have a table saw with a laser line and I find it totally useless - if the item I’m cutting shifts, the laser line is now delineating a line I don’t want to cut - a mark on the actual item itself is soooo much better. I can get everything lined back up properly.

I have the non-sliding version of this saw, and while perfectly capable (remodeled my family room, including wood flooring and trim), I really wish I had gotten this, or some other sliding compound saw. Would have made some of the bigger jobs easier/more convenient.

That said, the saw is up to most challenges and wouldn’t hesitate with the WEN model here.

I bought this the last time it was on woot. I unpacked it and flipped the trigger, lasted all of 0.5 seconds before the motor blew. Woot returns was great taking it back.

Why isn’t this marketed as a potential Mother’s Day gift? This is something I’d actually like to get for Mother’s Day.

Just stick one of these bad boys on the side with duct tape and bob’s yer uncle.

Isn’t this just the Harbor Freight model that sells for 89 bucks? Not much to woot about on Woot these days.

Not sure what the differences are, but that Home Depot listing looks to be for an older model. Here is the listing with the correct model number, but with no reviews:

Wish they would bring back the WOW that is a great product for a great price. Now its just " wow, that sucks and wow that’s a high price. I wish they would bring back the WOW factor on their products and price!

While I don’t disagree with many of the comments herein, talking about Woot becoming a regurgitator of Amazon cast-offs, I’m still amazed at comments like this.

Of course a laser is an essential feature — and you’ll pay for that feature. Show me a sliding compound miter saw with a laser guide for $120, and I’ll but it. I found 'em for $400, $349, even $198…but not for $120.

This is like saying a Toyota isn’t as good as a Corvette…while conveniently ignoring the tariff you’ll pay to own that Vette. You want to compare apples to apples, fine — but don’t compare apples to watermelons.

I will agree completely with this. The selection and deals have become terrible.

I was a bit leery about this saw because of the low price. I bought it the last time they had the low price and couldn’t be happier with the saw for the price. I would prefer a laser but don’t want to pay for it. I built a shop with it. I changed the blade to a masonry blade and did a backsplash. I don’t usually do reviews but this saw was getting the bad mouth and it doesn’t deserve it.

THough it doesn’t have a laser afaik, harbor freight has a 10" slider for $89 at times. just saying…

Or they can just go old school and use a pencil. LOL
