Wenzel Mountain Trails Grand Pass 10-Person Tent

I have an older model of this same tent. I bought it from Woot over three years ago and have used it many times. The setup is simple once you’ve done it one time, I can do it solo in under twenty minutes (about one and a half beers). Seam sealer and waterproof spray is a must like all new tents. There are a few trouble spots near the edges where the roof comes to the floor that need extra attention with the sealers. We just did a weekend in Sebastian inlet where the wind was gusting 25-30 mph and this thing held up great. You can easily fit three queen air mattresses inside comfortably with room for your gear so long as you don’t bring your kitchen sink. Overall this is a great tent for the price, definitely a value. 7.75/10

This is a pretty good deal on a basic car-camping tent. If you might be new to camping, though, don’t be fooled by the 10-person description. It’s good for 5, maybe 6, people. 10 people? No chance. In fact, it used to be listed as a 6-7 person tent on Wenzel’s page. Woot! described that as an error on Wenzel’s page (http://sport.woot.com/forums/viewpost.aspx?postid=6464197&ref=sp_cnt_odet_jtd), but woot! also had previously described it as a 6-7 person tent: https://www.woot.com/offers/mountain-trails-grand-pass-2-room-6-7-person-family-dome-tent
