Review at Audioholics
I have looked at Westinghouse tv’s at costco and the sound is really really weak. Full throttle is like a 4 on any other set… Certainly not the likes of Spinal Tap and 11…
The picture on the TV looks like the puking scene from The Sandlot. Awesome.

So you’re saying this DOESN’T go all the way to 11? What a shame.
It is $649.99 (from $799.99) there. Mixed reviews (Literally. There are 5 and 4 star reviews, and them some 1 and 2. no 3 star reviews. ).
It seems Westinghouse generally has a very bad reputation with their LCD TV’s.
Pretty good deal I think! 4 stars on Amazon, If I found the right one.
I think I have plenty of V’s though, no more for me!
How is the picture quality? Any owners?
I feel like this is a sick joke I just don’t get.
Although the Woot product description states:
A reviewer on Amazon warns that this is not true:
FYI.
This goes really nicely with the HDMI cables from yesterday.
looks like it has some serious remote issues and sound isn’t so great…

There was a slew of crab related deals on deals.woot a few days back. It’s just a silly meme that came and went in a few hours.
Westinghouse is another one of those once-great American companies whose glory days are long over. I don’t even know if they still design or manufacture their own products. I’ve been tempted to buy a smaller model in the past but the reviews were bad to mediocre. The problem with these once-great American companies is that support is lacking, i.e. no firmware updates. Other examples include Polaroid, Sylvania, Bell & Howell, Vivitar, etc.
As an edge-lit TV this will not have as high of contrast as back-lit led TV. Your better off getting a regular LCD TV and getting a decent brand for around the same price. This will only really benefit from reduced power consumption.
…speaking of the manual, here it is online.
The Amazon reviewer was correct, the manual does clearly state: “USB Service port | For service only.”
