What do you think of that huge new Sphere thing in Las Vegas?
The old Woot video for CES and Vegas comes to mind.
(Especially the panda bear with human hands.)
Las Vegas: We’ve got the biggest balls of them all.
You mean the giant pimple I have to look at when I drive into town? Waste. Just to tour the place costs a small fortune. The videos (?) that are shown aren’t as varying as you’d expect. Usually the same things every few minutes, so that’s disappointing.
This is the only good thing to come from it so far
Pretty cool looking
Sphere! We don’t need no stinkin’ sphere!
People losing their minds over a freaking screen saver. It’s art… No it’s an ad. I’ll be cool with it when the flying toasters play
Was in Vegas last year for the Shriner’s Bowl game & did the tourist thing of riding the big wheel… Great view of the Death Star.
What is in Vegas, well, is in Vegas. So I have no opinion.
This reminds of horrible college English teacher. She asked for opinions on a stupid topic. A handful of students gave all the opinions. There was not anything to add or debate. She got mad at the rest of us for not adding or debating, and she made us stay after to write our opinion on paper to hand in. The icing on this cake is she would skip more classes than students with a sign on the door, “Writing day. No class. Go write.”
Lovely educational system that costs a mint… No problems here, look over there. Ooh a shiny orb n Vegas (this rant has come full circle).
I understand they will be putting a Dollar Tree in there with a Taco Bell and a Starbucks
I haven’t seen it in person. Hoping to someday. It looks cool but is probably very annoying to the people that live there!
What sphere?
This is what it looks like with people about a mile away for perspective on the size of the thing.
It’s sorta cool. But I surely would not want to have a bedroom window within one mile of it.
I was there opening night for U2. I’ve been to thousands of concerts in every type of venue possible. and I can honestly say I have never experienced a concert in the way that it was. presented. The sound inside was the purest audio I’ve ever heard in a live setting., ever. The visuals were mind blowing. Now maybe not every band can take advantage of the technology, but the results for that show were absolutely incredible. The inside was awesome as well and it was one hell of an experience I’m glad I took…
The giant eyeball is hard to look at.
I’ve seen a much more spherey thing, and it has a fan club that likes to howl at it…
Can the LV Sphere say that?
Anywhere else, it’d be annoying, but it’s a perfect fit for Las Vegas. Now, Disney just need to upgrade Epcot.
That’s cool. I love U2 and I’ve wanted to go, but I’m not sure it’s worth flying across the country to see a band I’ve already seen four times…
