What is "The Monkey"?

Someone who WAS THERE needs to explain all the “Bring Back The Monkey” comments to the newcomers.

Probably alien is the one you need. Its too late for me tonight. Essentially, it was the contest prize for least on target and so bad it rocked picture, until 2 weeks ago when they started trying to give out that awful and creepy Anne Geddes calendar and everyone revolted big time.

This is what I know. Or think I know
There was a screaming monkey doll in one of the boc
The left over monkeys became prizes for the worst entry in the photo contest.
The monkey prize became the most coveted prize of all.
Many won, but not everyone received the monkey.
In early jan there was a calander of crap woot.
The woot gods found a bunch of Anne Geddes calanders that were left over.
In contest 55, with no prior warning, the monkey prize became the child exploitation calander prize.
This led to an immediate uprising among to photo contest people and an boycott of contest 56.

There was also extensive research done and many monkeys were found on ebay. This fact was politely pointed out to the woot gods. Mainly Jason Toon who had been photo chopped into many strange and weird situations involving Brave Women and himself.
After a whole week of protest the winners of contest 56 were announced.
The woot gods agreed to bring back the monkey and instead of the calander that week the prize was the Hope We Can Find Some Monkeys To Give Prize or HWCFSMTGP.
Joy and happiness returned to Woot!!!

Jason never said if he found the monkeys yet…so stay tuned…

The only correction to this I would make is that the “screaming monkeys” were in several Bags of Crap and were highly coveted, particularly for terrorizing various pets.
