What time does the newest woot show up on line in Pacific Time?

I am always too late to get what I want.

From “what is woot?” at the upper right-hand corner of the screen:

What is the schedule for new items?
The short answer: we offer a new item every single day. The details: a new product is released every morning at 12am central time, seven days a week. (If you’re not a morning person, this can be described as every night at midnight. Better?) If a product sells out during its run, a new item will not appear until the next release time. You will know if a product is sold out, because the main page says “SOLD OUT” instead of “I want one”. (Clever, eh?)

I’m pretty sure that’s 9:00 pm in Pacific Time, not absolutely sure but pretty sure.

PS - take a moment to read “what is woot?”, there’s lots of good stuff in there.

ummm…its actually 10 pm pacific time [;)]

Thanks, I wasn’t absolutely sure, I always think it’s three hours different than where I live which is Central. Still earlier than midnight, the lucky stiff, I might be able to stay awake until 10.

Well, sorta, but it IS 9 pm Pacific Standard Time, when Texas is observing daylight savings time.

But for all practical purposes, it’s 10pm Pacific (unspecified) time, since (at least currently) Texas and the west coast observe daylight savings time on the same schedule.

1 a.m Eastern
midnight Central
11 p.m. Mountain
10 p.m. Pacific

Since we’re all on the same schedule, Daylight vs. Standard shouldn’t even enter into the picture, unless you live in those parts of Indiana that don’t observe daylight savings time, which just messes everything up.

don’t parts of arizona do the same thing??..I guess it just seems weird to me that everyone doesn’t observe daylight savings time.

but at least Jason is on my side [:D]

My understanding is that it’s all of Arizona - though that does not necessarily include the “reservations” which just happen to be within the state’s borders.

If it were up to me, sunset would always be between 8 and 9pm, and everything else can work around that.

y’all confuse the hell outta me sometimes.

One of my main goals in life is to make people think.

I don’t much care what they think; most of 'em act like their heads would explode if they ever actually did, and my theory is - either they’re wrong, or I’m in for some entertainment.

You know, it’s ok not to be cynical sometimes. God wants us to live in peace and harmony. We’ll never achieve that with some…ah…less that enthusiastic support.

I apologize for invading your forum up front, but feel this is worth while and will only take 15 seconds away from a chat.

Give the Gift of Site

Please donate any used pair of prescription glasses to help both children and adults that cannot afford clear vision, to see for the first time.

Not asking for money, just one pair (or as many as you can find laying around [h] ) to help people that cannot afford to see.

I will post pictures and stories from the Sonora, MX mission I will be on in September off site to show you what your contributions meant to the people in need.

Please send them to;

Luxottica Retail
Attn: Woody1
4000 Luxottica Place
Mason, OH 45040

I appreciate woot for allowing this to post, and the person with the most pairs sent in by Sept 12th, (nudge factor coming, and send them all together please, so they can be counted) will get a package worth over $500 including a new Home Toshiba DVD Recorder and Dell 5.1 speaker set. This comes out of my pocket; this is just one of many, and I do mean many, charities I try to support.
