I went to the bakery today for the famous melt in your mouth buns. Made oven fried chicken sandwiches. Yum!

Pulled pork on bakery bun, asparagus, potato salad, deviled eggs, and garden salad. Oooph. I almost ate it all!

made some chicken empanadas, which were a hit, and fried polenta which was a miss. too greasy.

the empanadas were good! made from scratch except the pie dough. I should’ve rolled it thinner or looked for empanada dough/wrappers at the store. next time!

How do you prep your asparagus?

Asparagus…chopped and sautéed in butter with chopped cloves of garlic. Little water for some steam.

Better on the grill but only the smoker was running today.

(Used an old Pampered Chef press for the eggs.)

Been a busy week, my food posts have been neglected…
Here is the huge crockpot of Baked Ziti we’ve been eating half the week, with salads.
And Dark Chocolate Banana Bread.


Lots of holiday-prep cooking today, should be plenty of yummy food porn to post tomorrow (or Monday, if tomorrow is too busy).
