I usually wait a while before trying new tech stuff - long enough for the problems to be found & fixed, and for the prices to come down. Nothing on the poll was a tech I used.

In '96 I went to an audio recording school and recorded a few of my band’s songs there on ADAT. Whoah, digital! but… on magnetic tape. Had a few copies made to regular old cassette tapes. Cassette tapes invariably disintegrated to the 4 corners of the world over the years.
Went to have my old ADATs turned to .wav or whatever (the old digital to digital conversion 
) and the tape had degraded too much.

Still have mine, and finally found a way to get the Zune program to work again ( middle finger to MS for killing the software). I use it for my motorcycle trips so I don’t interfere with the cellphones duties.

Minidisc was an amazing format! Loved that you record on the fly with an external mic, made it really easy to bootleg concerts.

I didn’t, but my parents went all in on a satellite dish. The kind you had to move that was close to the size of a kiddie pool. The best part was none of the channels could be blocked….
