I’m actually kind of fond of plaid.
Fun fact: I was corrected (agressively, by a significantly drunken relative) when I used the word “plaid” when I obviously meant “tartan.”
According to Wikipedia (home of all wisdom) a plaid is “a cloth made with a tartan pattern.” And tartans are “patterned cloth consisting of criss-crossed, horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colours.” Which is kind of what I thought they were. Before I was agressively corrected.
