What's your Oreo stuffing preference?

Fig Newtons??? Are those still in business?
Just say you prefer a healthy sweet snack instead of cookies. We won’t judge you.

I’d rather have an unhealthy cookie every once in a while versus a Fig Newton or oatmeal “cookie” every-other day.

Worst practical joke is to give out oatmeal raisin cookies to people who expect chocolate chip on their cookie/cheat day.

See, I saw these deep fried Oreos once at a San Francisco street vendor, maybe a second time at a boardwalk in Chicago (I live in the east). To deep fry Oreos, do you dip them in egg and flour first before the oil? Are you deep frying Oreos in your house like once a month or with any frequency?

There’s something immensely satisfying about vanilla cookie oreos dipped in milk. “Chocolatey” Oreos don’t really taste like chocolate to me, without the crème or milk those just taste… chaulky? They’re good in their own way, especially with the mint crème, but yeah the vanilla cookie Oreos dipped in milk are my favorite. Generic brands vanilla (at least around me) have a kinda funny aftertaste (I think it’s actually the crème at fault here), but I can “accidentally” work my way through a whole bag of vanilla Oreos while watching TV :joy:

My favorite was the chocolate chip cookie dough filling Oreos.

I actually like cutting apart my Double Stuf™ so that both sides had creme; too often I would twist and one side would have everything (to which I had quadruple Stuf’d Oreos back when they used to be bigger).

But with a smaller cookie and an even split, I can do things like apply a thin layer of crunchy peanut butter and a dollop of cherry preserve in the middle and make (really really unhealthy) hors d’oeuvres.

Of course this leads to Oreo halves topped with fudge and whipped cream, etc. etc. Make everything an open-faced pizza sandwich.

Somewhat random, but those of you subjected to use Microsoft Teams: have you noticed they have an Oreo emoji? Wonder if M$ got some advertising money from that. There are actually a couple.

Regular Oreos here.

I had a bad experience with the peanut butter ones. Got real sick, not allergic just bad food sick. Could have been a bad batch or something. Now I am weary of (junk) foods with added peanut butter which sux because I loved reeses cups, peanut butter patties, nutter butters & others & I will shy away from them. I love nuts too, just had a handful of dry roasted peanuts today. :peanuts: Damn you peanut butter Oreos!!!

Ooohh I didn’t know they had lemon ones. Must be a regional thing. I luvs me some lemon sandwich cookies. They just came out with lemon pop tarts & they taste exactly like those cookies.

I have air fried them in pancake mix and basic flour batter. I get the deep fried version from food trucks and Sheetz

It must be a regional item as they still sell them around here. They are so good though! I haven’t seen the lemon Pop-tarts. I’ll have to keep an eye out for them at the grocery store.
