When did you last use a VCR?
3 years ago, and I’m trying to get back to it cause I need to convert old family tapes but my health has been a big deterrent.
I am going to start searching yard sales, pawn stores, and 2nd hand stores for vcr. Gonna see what vhs tapes were left behind.
I still have a VCR and tapes. I just haven’t gotten around to any nostalgic moments to try watching them.
Approximately, the Shrek era.
Been a while
I honestly can’t remember. Had to be over 20 years
so are we talking about playback or recording?
I havent used a vcr in a very long time, BUT, I do have two identical vcr / dvd combo players that my ex gave me a very very long time ago. At the time I laughed at him, he said, hey, you have dvds and vhs, you may as well have something to play them on. I have yet to actually use them, but he kinda has a point. I know you are jealous of my last century tech, don’t even try to deny it
They are seriously out there. Thrift shops are loaded with them, and libraries.
I seem to remember the Shrek era being the dvd era. Honestly that might be the dvd that I tried to impress my parents playing in the new fangled dvd player I bought. Nothing like high-def green.
I always wanted the sports car fast rewinding machine.
The “Fickle Finger” has moved on (sell your stock quickly)…
Honestly, I’d guess it’s been at least 3 years since I used a disc of any kind, let alone a tape. Nintendo Switch is the only reason I’m still using physical media at all (books not included)
Honestly last time I used a deck was to convert a video/audio RCA device over to a channel 3/4 signal so I could connect to an old TV.
I don’t have VCR.
Second grade, so 2007. But I always thoroughly enjoyed wiping off the layer of static that sat on the CRT’s screen with the back of my hand while rewinding my VHS.
Made a copy of something a few months ago, after digging it up. Immediately broke afterwards
