Can you set it up for two lights on one switch?
According to the description…“One remote can activate up to 20 lites.”
Can you setup 1 light on 2 switches?
Which wireless tech does it use? In one article it mentions pairing lights to switches and that would make me assume BlueTooth but I dunno?
Anybody have these and know?
Not sure what’s going on but the “Place Your Order” button doesn’t respond when pressing it. Refreshed the page, logged out and back in…but it’s still does nothing. It’s late for me to try figuring out what’s going on so hopefully this is still available tomorrow morning…?
The pictures are inconsistent as well. In a few of them it looks like a motion detector bubble in the center, and in others that bubble in the middle isn’t there???
Anyone know how long batteries will last?
If any staff are listening, the proceed to check out button and place your order buttons are not working. I tried it on two types of browsers.
is there a lull in purchasing? There might be a reason for that.
Don’t have them, but I think I know. They use dipswitches to set the transmit/receive frequencies. Old tech, but it works. Still used by most all ceiling fans today. There are several freq bands, but 433 & 315 are the most popular. The 3 pin dipswitch gives you up to 8 freqs to choose from. Just set the remotes and lights (that you want controlled by that/those remote(s)) to the same dipswitch setting and viola, 1 switch 2 lights, 2 switches 1 light, etc. I just don’t get that they limit the light count to 20 lights. It should have no limit as long as everyone is on the same freq.
They probably say 20 is the limit, because unless you’re arranging them in an array to communicate with aliens, or as a light organ, if you have more than 20 lights to light, some of them may/will be out of range of the transmitter.
Then users would complain and leave bad reviews because a light that’s probably out of actual visual range, didn’t come on when they pressed the button.
I had this same problem yesterday. I had to use my phone (chrome browser on android) to complete the purchase. My firefox on computer could not complete the job.
edit: it’s still happening today on my computer.
I just called woot customer service and this was their suggestion:
*We are very sorry to hear that you are having trouble completing your order. There are a few possible solutions for this: First, try and switch browsers – often that’ll do the trick. If that doesn’t work, try clearing your cache and cookies from your browser. You might also want to see if disabling adblocker for Woot pages will solve the issue. If all else fails, put your browser into “Incognito” or "Private Mode.” That’ll give you a clean sheet and will likely let you complete your order.
If you try all that and your order STILL won’t go through, please answer the below questions so we can get this resolved for you as soon as possible. We’ll pass this along to our team of website geniuses so they can figure out what’s up. We want to make sure it’s easy for you to spend money with us!
• What item(s) were you attempting to purchase?
• Can you provide a link to the item(s)?
• What steps did you take leading up to the issue you’re experiencing? Try to be as specific as you can.
• What was the last page you were on before having the issue you’re experiencing?
Once again, I’m very sorry for the inconvenience on this and we look forward to hearing back from you soon*
The guy on the phone was sort of leaning toward some sort of ad blocker issue. I just upgraded Firefox recently so maybe something happened there?
I was able to get it to work on Internet Explorer on my computer. I don’t really feel like debugging their stuff for them.
Yea, it’s still not working for me either after encountering the problem last night. I feel like you: why should I go to all the trouble of solving what appears to be their problem? I’m using the same browser and setup that I’ve always used and just made some Woot purchases a few weeks ago w/ no problem. So I know it’s not me. Too bad. I really wanted these lights. Guess Woot loses out on a sale because of laziness.
What is the battery life like on these lights?
WTH?!? I go to buy these things and Woot takes me to a bidet page?!?!?!
It sold out earlier, hence a new item going up.
