I have never seen the appeal of chewing a piece of rubber for extended periods of time. I was more a candy cigarette guy ![]()
Gatorade gum. Similar length of flavor to Zebra Stripes but sour right off. Dark green metallic packaging.
Blackjack. Yes I’m serious…
Clove and Beemans were also nice, to mix it up. Def agree on Blackjack! Good post, old-head!
Shout out to Bubble Yum. My vote still goes to Bubblicious, given the options in the poll.
That said, i would recommend that any time travelers taste pic related. Was a short-lived delicacy. Oh, and Gatorade’s Gatorgum. That stuff was magic. Oof, and the one’s that looked like juice cartons with gum shaped like aquarium gravel. Mighty tasty. Love this survey!
Of those options, big league chew could be crammed in the mouth at quantities to keep the Dimetapp grape flavor alive longer. I remember hurting my mouth craming bazooka joe. Though, I follow @RebelTaz with candy cigs, but my dad got me hook on Necco wavers, which has same chalky, sugary sensation as the cigs.

.

This stuff tasted AMAZING for about 4 seconds!! Then, your palette was bombarded by some kind of Polyethylene terephthalate polymer taste… Why did you just taste it (…so many years later?!) That 4-second taste was enough to keep you coming back though!! By the 5th chew, it was gone like the breeze…
The tattoos were of the same quality. Putting on their “tat” was like licking a cheap stamp and plunking it on your forearm… except that it didn’t have glue… or a cool design… by the time your phlegm dried, it was also gone like the breeze (except it was actually IN THE BREEZE!).
LOL!
yes for necco & cigs as well
didn’t we just have a chat on gum?
High five on the Neccos. Chocolate and licorice over here. Cheers!
Woot is taking lessons from hollyweird and is just rehashing the same plots over and over again ![]()
Same here, except he preferred the chocolate and I preferred the original.
Imma let you guess
Some people have coffee and a cigarette at the start of their day; I have Zero Sugar Rockstar and Hubba Bubba. I’m 54 ![]()
My dad would cherry-pick the trays for the packs with the most licorice. I feel like Neccos having a “transparent-ish” wrapper was half of the appeal. It gave us a choice and an advantage. I went for the chocolate. Once the all-chocolate packs came out, i got sick of em and reverted to asking dad for the regular multipacks… but def still cherrypicked for my heavy chocolate rolls.
Wow… memory lane. Orange were good too. They were cheap and lasted forever. Made makeshift toys and play money here and there, too. ![]()

Woot, what have you started!!!
