BUT! Add 10 degrees each day to adjust for the #%$& humidity.
(105 to 107 - or more.)
Lows next 7 days: 75 to 77 each night.
Again, add 10 degrees or so for humidity.
Rain? What’s that? Weatherman says carry an umbrella - for shade. (Seriously, he said that!)

They sent it East to ALABAMA, at one point today one of my several online weather apps said 96, feels like 106, so the humidity had to be brutal!

Based on posts to the Green Grotto, May 18th has been the worst so far for me but I could easily be wrong since the feels like temp has been over 100°F just about everyday lately.

Heart of the MW, aka Misery, is holding up to it’s name. Too hot, 90’s, high humidity, more severe thunderstorms. Streets are recording at 139°.
In perspective, we were in a drought last year. I’m pretty sure I was a miserable Minnesota girl then, too. Le sigh.

Ya know, I thought it was bad last year when we had three days in a row over 100, with one day getting up to 116. But compared to what some of you are going through, I’d say that was a walk in the park in comparison.

After another 100*+ day forecast is for cooler weather ahead, 98-99 for the next few days.
Then 95* on Saturday, which the forecaster lists as pleasant.
We need a new weatherman!

Heat index - temperature plus humidity - today is 111. I’m gonna melt!
Oh, no! Father’s Day Saturday & Sunday highs are forecast as 98 degrees. They haven’t said the humidity, yet.
Hot atmosphere is giving us a level 2 weather aware day - 1" hail, intense storms, damaging winds, just nasty stuff. I’ll take the rain, though!

This week… and it looks to be coming back next week as well.

Temperature fluctuations in countries 1880 to 2020. The swings high AND low with overall higher ave temps especially after 1980 are what we are feeling. The video shows these well if you keep the last sentence in mind while watching.
