Raquel Welch was a meteorologist in the 1960s.

We had a similar one except it was dogs.

If the dog is white, it’s snowing.
If the dog is wet, it’s raining.

and so on.

I grew up watching the weather with Harold Taft.

Back in the 90’s, in Reno, on an independent channel; the weatherman had a slot machine with clouds, sun , rain, snow
It was more accurate than the networks

James Spann of ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, AL is the man! When his coat comes off, you know you’re in trouble.

The correct spelling is “Storm Field.” Matt Laubhan out of Tupelo, MS is the best. Who else takes a call from his mother during an active storm emergency broadcast?

Galileo and the kid from New Mexico who copied his work and won the $25K National Science award for mapping solar winds and tropical storms… that billions of dollars of equipment and wasted know-nothing data collectors couldn’t make sense of it.
