Why woot doesn't have a search feature?

Actually, usually it is because there’s a quantity of inventory, but then when the pickers grab them off the shelves, sometimes they are broken, occasionally not where they should be, or some other reason the inventory levels aren’t what the computers think they are. Also, yes, for fast items, Woot can occasionally take in more orders and the inventory system has what we call a Race Condition where there were more orders than products available and they have to cancel whichever was last post-fact.

I love the fact someone thinks the answers are cute marketing spin, on Woot. Clearly they have never met TT. She doesn’t spin, or mince words, or bullshit. Ever. Trust me. She has my direct number.

Well sure, your badge says “Old Friend” Of course you would say that.

What about the multiple coupon codes “SORRY” how many of those can you get?

Careful @wajeremy, @therealjrn hasn’t had any coffee today and with the whole coronavirus thing its unlikely he’ll have any for two weeks. #wootoops

Dammit pepper, don’t remind him of the coffee incident.

I’m an “old friend” of TT as well, I don’t know why @wajeremy singled me out. But Woot of late has been ASTONISHINGLY BAD at order fulfillment of my orders.

It does appear to me they have serious internal problems with the items that come form Amazon.

And of course, after swooping in, @wajeremy, after speaking for Woot, can not answer my coupon question.

Yeah there’s a website about that.
It starts with Woot, then has peedconsumer but less polite. Seems fairly recent. I wonder if they know about it?

So far, in 2020 I have ordered about $1,125.00 of items from Woot. Just Woot alone. Not Amazon or other companies.I have had items that were shorted or damaged no less than 9 times.

I have “reached out” to customer service so much I fear they just don’t believe me any more.

We can tee hee and screw around in the forums, but I asked a legitimate question of @wajeremy after he singled me out and answered for Woot. He still has not responded.

I’m frankly getting a little fed up with “reaching out”

I don’t know why you feel the need to scold me about your friendship with TT. What is that about?

Can I have your personal number to discuss some issues I’m legitimately having with Woot lately? Why even mention that? I don’t get the point of that at all.

I found that site. It’s a lot of people whose credit cards were stolen and a bunch of people who called and couldn’t leave a voicemail. You can call Woot?

And one person left a message on pissedconsumer to change her address. And she left it there. The next person left their phone number. I guess they thought it was Woot customer service?

Some people probably would be better off ordering at Walmart.

During the day they have a call feature. I think I may have used it one time a couple of years ago. In general, I don’t like having to call. I feel the written word is better.

But of course there are exceptions, as in their failure to fulfill my last problem order. I’ve gotten two completely different explanations.

ETA: I guess now 3 different explanations, if you count @wajeremy’s explanation of how it’s the computer’s fault.

I was last issued a “SORRY” coupon code. No word yet on whether that replaces the previous “SORRY” coupon code which was for a different amount from a completely different order.

Emails are better for documentation. Plus their inbox can’t get too full to leave a message. I guess your best bet is to keep an eye on coffee sales and ask TT to send you a bag if it comes up. But nine messed up orders is waaaay too many.

It shouldn’t be my job to “look for coffee sales” and then go beg to have my due.

Amazon fulfilled the order–Amazon still has cases of that coffee for sale.

But true, the problem has been ongoing. I currently have an order in for a multi-pack sale. TT has as much as told me in the forum me to expect it to get messed up. That’s very sad.

I went to look at coffee sales and found this. I don’t think I’ve seen it before.

Yep, it’s gotten to the point that I expect my order to be messed up. I guess I’m kind of getting used to it in a sick, twisted way, because I keep coming back, but it still aggravates the hell out of me.

However, I’m sure that Woot is losing customers over this poor order fulfillment system.

It shouldn’t overwrite another coupon with the same name. Can you pm me details (time frame) so I can research this with Cs. This is the first I’ve heard of this.

Well, alrighty then. And no, this is bullshit.

On 3/4 I received a partial refund (which did not refund the taxed charged) and a “SORRY” coupon code worth $6. 5 days later, I received a refund and after 3 emails about how my order was shipped by Amazon, and picked up by Amazon’s shipping partner, and somehow Amazon can’t fix my problem a coupon code “SORRY” for $10.

How can the same code be used? I emailed and asked–no answer as yet. @wajeremy after scolding me publicly apparently can’t answer it either.

I didn’t want to take this to message because I figure we may as well might be able to help somebody else who stunningly receives the same code for differing amounts. It has to be happening more frequently nowadays.

How do I use the $6 one over the $10 one? Say I buy a small item and then Woot decides to apply the higher amount coupon, thus I lose. How does that work?

I’m already losing because they didn’t refund my sales tax on my partial refund.

These are on top of the “WOOT10” coupon that I applied on that order of Listerine strips which you told me to expect to ask for a refurbished coupon when that multi-pack gets shorted.

I’m going to need a spreadsheet soon.

As a casual investigator who likes to hang out here, it does appear as though the #wootoops have been a bit above the expected Woot standard disappointment levels lately. Joking aside, I’m sure the loss of a CTO did hurt. I would also deduce that the slow bleed of resources from Carrollton to Seattle (synergies!) are causing issues, especially as Merch by Amazon takes over an ever larger portion of DFW5. Folks are doing more with less, India call centers aside.

I have no doubt that Uncle Jeff’s unwavering customer focus will bring balance to the Force in one way or another. In the meantime, I’m happy to hang around and shoot the $h!t while it all plays out. @therealjrn, you’ve always been the coolest guy in the room (forum?). I look forward to riding out the rough spots with you and your witty banter. And if it all goes to Hell, well at least we can have some laughs as the World burns.
