Why is woot selling a roomba and calling it a doorbell?

Reviews at Amazon

It doesn’t save video like I was hoping, but I noticed a review on Amazon has a reply from the manufacturer that says “Video cloud storage is also something that is in development.”

I’m not sure I would ever think to push the button for a door bell if I didn’t already know what this is. I’d look for a traditional button and then just knock on the door when I couldn’t find it.

Some of those Amazon reviews are disturbing to put it nicely. I especially like the ones where people can see other users doorbell video. Awesome feature.

This is not a zoomba? I am tired of vacuuming my carpets every day.

Bought one of these last time and it works great. It’s important to read the installation instructions and follow them exactly, allowing it time to connect and so on. If you do, installation is straightforward. The iOS app works well. Picture quality is decent, not great. Comes with the adapter to install it at an angle, which worked well for me.

Does it support Web Browser interaction? Most of these required mobile apps. I work from home (software engineer OSX) so I’m always on my desktop and hardly ever have my mobile on at home.

thanks

I would not buy this even if it was a $1. I am not going to list all of the issues - you can read those in all the various reviews but the main problem is that the notifications would either not show up at all or would appear minutes after the door bell had already been rung. Not sure if this product works better with iPhones but on Android it’s total garbage. They haven’t even updated the app since August.

I’ve had mine about a year and a few months ago it started keeping a history that you could download to your phone.

what reviews? there were only two kinda stupid questions.

I’ve had mine for over a year and it’s been working flawlessly – but I use an iPhone.
