Wine Line 12 Bottle Stainless Steel Wine Rack

Do the math… IKEA holds 4 bottles for $10… so for 12 bottles, 3 x IKEA ($10/ea) = $30, which is the same as this one here, $25 + $5 (shipping) = $30. Actually wine.woot would be alittle less, because of no tax (except TX).

This is more for fancy display, everyday wines and not for any kind of long-term storage since there is no temperature control. The temperature variation from bottom to top would be minimal, but the room variation = not good for serious storage.

Those mounting screws look too flimsy to hold an entire case of wine…

Yea it’s obviously for display and not storage. If I had a decent bar I’d be down.

I like the part that holds the bottles.

I am feeling a very uneasy trend – we have not seen hide nor hare anything remotely chewable since the May 21 Creminelli Artisan Salami offering. What in the World ever happened to Food Fridays on wine.woot! ?

If they made it out of aluminum you could use it for Festivus.

Oh… you mean the whole thing… or do you mean the hole thing?..

ahh… geez, kyle, tanx – I wouldn’a known dat widout your iteration. Please excuse my buffoonery.

I still cannot figure out how the boxes fit in the holes

With one of these I’d always be afraid that because time and stres, someone jostling it, or a combination of both the bottle necks would snap if that’s all the bottles are being held up by.

Here is an easy adaptation for a Box Wine Rack

  Building the Box Wine Rack:

  Step 1

Measure the width of your largest wine box. Write this number down.

  Step 2

Measure the length of your longest wine box. Write this number down.

  Step 3

Count the number of boxes of wine that you have. Write this number down.
  Step 4

Go to the store and buy PVC pipe that is 5 inches wider in diameter.

  Step 5

Cut the PVC pipe to the length of your longest box.

  Step 6

Repeat Step 5 until you have the amount of PVC pipe cut that you will need for your wine boxes.

  Step 7

Calculate how many PVC pipes will be beside each other to make a square.

  Step 8

Lay that amount of PVC pipe in a row and measure the length. Write this down.

  Step 9

Add 6 inches to the number that you wrote down in Step 8.

  Step 10

Measure how long the PVC pipe is.

  Step 11

Add 4 inches to this number and write it down.

  Step 12

Measure the the piece of plywood the the length you wrote down.

  Step 13

From the point you put on your wood, measure the same length for the height.

  Step 14

Cut out this piece of wood.

  Step 15

Repeat Steps 12 through 14 four more times.

  Step 16

Take two pieces of wood and put them into an "L" shape.

  Step 17

  Nail them together.

  Step 18

Do the same with two other pieces of wood.

  Step 19

You should have two L-shaped pieces of wood and one free piece of wood.

  Step 20

Take the two L-shaped pieces of wood and set them together to make a square.

  Step 21

Nail these pieces of wood together.

  Step 22

Place the square face down so that you would have to look into the square.

  Step 23

Place the free piece of wood on the top to cover the open hole.

  Step 24

Nail this piece of wood onto the square.

  Step 25

You now have the box for your wine rack.

Inserting the Wine Holders:

  Step 1

Take your PVC pipes and place them into the box one by one.

  Step 2

Create your first row on the bottom of the box.

  Step 3

Once that row if finished, start the second row.

  Step 4

Continue filling the box up with the PVC pipes you have cut.

  Step 5

Once the box if filled up, you have your wine rack.

  Step 6

Go get your wine boxes and place them into the PVC pipe.

Tips & Warnings:

This is a great, cheap way to store your wine. If you don't want it to look so cheap, use paint to paint it a beautiful color.

ENJOY!

Some cheeeeeez for all these summer wines we’ve been forced to buy would be great

I would assume that 6 since Mags are 1.5L which is twice that of a normal bottle.

It would look kinda scary though, no?

If you’re interested in long term storage, your basement is the best place or a wine refrigerator.

Anyone got the dimensions for this? Particularly interested in the length…or I guess height in this context

Just a guess here, but I’m thinking it would probably all depend on the caliber. I’m thinking, though, that a .357 would probably take it apart pretty easily.

It appears due to the design of this thing the butt end of the bottle is pulled down due to lack of support conspiring with gravity. This will result in dry cork, spoiling the wine.

Buy this if you like drinking vinegar.

Can these be stacked?

I’d like for my wine holder to double as a stripper pole.

Hey, MO pays taxes for woot purchases too. If I’m paying them, I at least want credit for it. Just think, I can feel good about all my Woot purchases because I know part of my money is going to all the wonderful things my politicians spend money on. Heck, I’ll take 3 of these things!
