Mine says “Nokia” not Withings… so if you’re looking for additional information, can look at the Nokia one as well. It wears nice, just doesn’t have all the information I’d like in a watch (e.g. date, second hand) or in an activity tracker (heart rate). Very minimalist and simplistic, but sometimes that’s all people want. Battery lasted about 6 months on mine.

I’ve had one of these since they came out (before the Nokia rebrand.) It’s pretty neat: you can wear it 24/7 and it tracks both steps and sleep automatically, and it’s water resistant enough that you can wear it in the shower. The battery life is fantastic.

Downsides? The watch band it comes with isn’t super comfortable but there are good replacements available on Amazon. It also doesn’t do elevation tracking like some earlier Withings fitness trackers.

Does it mean you have to replace the battery every 6-8 months? Is it something one can do easily by himself/herself? Thanks!

“No Charging Needed

No need for any cables or dock - Activité Steel operates on a standard button cell watch battery to provide up to 8 months of battery life. No charging means you never miss a step.”

I had one of these. It is comfortable, lightweight and you don’t have to change the battery often. The only things I did not like were the lack of luminous hands and it was not very accurate (for me when compared to a Fitbit) counting my steps.

It does mean you must replace the battery once or twice a year. I replace my own watch batteries, but you might want to have someone with experience do it, if handling sharp tools and tiny objects isn’t good for you.

Most places I’ve lived or worked (before I started doing my own), I could get a watch battery replaced for $5 in 5 minutes.

I have the Nokia-branded version. Make sure it gives you the data you want. No heart rate, no GPS. App is just OK. Another commenter wished for date display and luminescent hands and I agree, it’d be better if it had those.

All that said this has been a great tracker for me. You never have to charge it and can leave it on 24/7 and it will measure your sleep as well as your steps. I got mine for Christmas and the battery is still going strong seven months later. Your local jeweler will replace the battery in about 5 minutes for about ten bucks. This is a lot cheaper than a new one too.

Is the dial actually analog? Or is it a digital representation of the analog dial? What is the 0% to 100% dial for? Battery life?

When replacing watch batteries in waterproof watches, there is usually something involved with a seal that needs to be replaced, or so the watch battery replacement store tells me.

Premium materials - Stainless steel, chrome hands, silicon sport strap
