Please let me know why when i am obviously logged into woot, i can comment on forums, go to my order history, see my badges, enter contests…but as soon as i attempt to purchase anything, i must resign into amazon, at least twice, then click on continue to woot. Then i usually get reprompted to amazons sign in again. Im already signed into both, using a kindle fire that amazon created. This happens every time i purchase anything on woot! No wonder I cannot get another elusive b.o.c. ANY ADVICE FROM OTHER SEASONED WOOTERS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!
I think women are having problems too
I did not make the topic line, i just asked the question. woot added the misogyny. I was quite surprised by it too!
I removed the ‘n’ so it reads properly.
As for what you have to sign in to buy something, that’s because Amazon requires it for any purchase. It’s a security thing and beyond Woot’s control.
(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
Meh. Multiple times, i check the keep me signed in box everytime. Its a glitch, not a security issue i never had this problem at amazon or any other app. It makes it impossible to win a b.o.c. or a dollar deal purchase as well. And i never had this problem 18 months(appx.) ago.
I’m a little flabbergasted that Woot thinks the Amazon Pay issues with regards to signing in are solved. More often than not, I get signed out of the forums making a simple purchase while simultaneously signing into Amazon pay multipke times…
But everything is ok boss, nothing to see here.
100% and everytime they make up an excuse. Ie. We’re working on it, security issues, blah, blah, blah. There has to be competant coders out there that could solve the issue quickly. Why just make excuses? And they usually come from a “volunteer moderator” who claims to not work for woot, but definitely is attempting to mask the issue.
No reason to ascribe conspiracy to @peaceetc commenting.
I happen to have a bit of affection for our VolMods. They truly are just trying to help out and sometimes they only catch a ration of shit for their troubles.
Anyway @peaceetc, @Froodyfrog, and @pepper114 don’t participate in any coverups.
That we know of anyway.
What about @Narfcake? He is a cat, after all. Also,
.
Anyway, there’s no cover up going on, and I honestly don’t work for Woot. Why would I cover anything up for a company I don’t even work for? All I do is help out here on the forums because I like the people here. I’m just a regular customer (since 2007). The business of Woot is Woot’s thing, not mine, and I’m happy to not be involved.
(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
Oops! Thanks for remembering @Narfcake! My deepest apologies!
That sounds like a cover-up all on its own.
But lets finish with one cover-up before starting a new one.
Work for free? There must be something seriously wrong with you.
Well, obviously. I can’t imagine anyone thinking otherwise.
Don’t harass the volunteer moderators. Everything said here has been on point. A lot of it is Amazon as they control the entire payment system, We just pass them information and they give us a or
.
There are some things we could probably do on our side but there a lot of other priorities too such as rewriting decade old legacy code to keep this ship afloat.
So it sucks but it sucks the same for everyone.
Cling wrap or aluminum foil?
