Purple wootoff lights sound cool. Much more unusual than orange/amber lights.
The main woot page used to be all white and purple, so the flashing lights were purple too. They were pretty cool. Someone used to have them in their sig, but I don’t remember who. 
The purple was a lot better than this pukey green and orange.

they were going to let people choose their own color scheme. that ended up being too hard to implement, so everyone received the glory of brocolli and carrots (BC4L!). the other color schemes found new life as new .woot sites appeared. i now, like tall, post from shirt.woot for the blue (which is why I forget about dodgeball now, because i don’t have a direct link to the same World of Woot). purple woot lives again thanks to sellout.woot. you can sort of get a hint of how the old looked thanks to the Wayback machine.
Thanks for the history lessons, o wise ones. So if the current color scheme of main woot is aka “broccoli and carrots,” is/was there a nickname for the old purple scheme?
