I was updating my siggy, and I keep getting an error that says,
"Unknown Error
We apologize, but an unknown error has occured in the forums.
This error has been logged. "
Anyone know if I can work around this?
Dunno, I get the same thing. I’m gonna leave it alone until there’s a grand announcement that they’re done screwing with stuff.
For a community this size, it would be best to make all these changes on a test system first before uploading them instead of just winging it on the fly.
You’re probably trying to edit your sig on the old settings page that was linked to from the pulldown menu or from Private Messages. That one isn’t supported anymore. (They removed the links from nearly everywhere, but some people are still caching the old pages…)
The new, working sig editor is under ‘your account’ at the top. Be aware that the sigs now wrap at about 250px (but you can enter multiple lines), so formatting is a little odd.
