should be an official shirt!

Should be an apostrophe.

But maybe not. I’m not sure what this shirt is saying. If it is saying “Woot, the company, is back up and running” then “Woots” is the contraction “Woot’s” (“Woot is”) and should therefore have an apostrophe.

If it’s a takeoff of “What’s Up” then that also is a contraction of “What is up” and therefore needs and apostrophe.

But if it is saying “There are a multitude of Woots and they are above me” then “Woots” is simply plural and there wouldn’t need to be an apostrophe. On the other hand, I can’t see how that would make much sense—unless you happen to digging tunnels under Carrolton, Texas.

Wow. I really do have too much time on my hands.

And the sad thing is that I’m only about halfway finished with alphabetizing the contents of my pantry.

[by the way, in the Old Days, Woot used to frown upon self-referential shirts and would reject anything that included “Woot.”]
