Great Product!

Umm, doesn’t it look like that camera is (at least nearly) the lowest thing on this 'copter? Like, maybe it’ll be one of the first things to hit the ground or whatever. Wonder how stout that camera is, and how long it will stay operational…

Does this take full motion video or only still images?

Can the video be viewed/transferred to a computer? If so is by USB or a Memory Card

Hello ludabak1, this lets you capture videos and still pictures to a Micro SD card. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you for shopping with us!

how long does the battery last and does the video come out in a digital format , also what is the range between the handheld remote and the main unit ?

Actual video shot with the quadcopter-

This is an SD format camera. Why even consider this technology, unless, you want it to look like 1990’s TV. Isn’t everything HD today?

Obviously not. But look at the price. You can’t have it all for 89 bucks.

Referring to the preceding comment, SD here means Secure Digital and does not refer to Definition as in HD being an abbreviation for High Definition. Usually the resolution of the camera defines the quality of the picture.

$69.99 at Fry’s

[MOD: Unavailable online and in stores that I checked.]

And if you notice the product is unavailable so $69 is worthless!

Fry’s in store pick up only!

640 x 480 resolution is indeed SD. For 89.99 it might be worth it to practice on before you get a more capable machine with an HD camera…

I guess I got lucky because this item is available at my local store within 5 miles from work.

This looks just like the WL Toys V262 Cyclone UFO, which goes for 69.99. Its a fun copter, and doesn’t include a camera (or SD card). So I guess that might justify the difference, but it’s not worth $270…

No, but you can have a better quad-copter for less.

I have this Syma X5C that I picked up for $59, see Amazon has it now for $53. Great and fun copter to fly.

I can’t speak for other models, but there are several available in the sub-$60 price range.

Only if it works! See comments on you tube, several like this: ‘The unit only flew once. After that the transmitter would not sync with the drone. Now the unit is a brick. The manufacturer - Hobbytron - has ignored my requests for a fix or an RMA. Beware’
