It takes vary little research to verify what I suspected - the “R” tacked on the end of the model number is how World Tech identifies their refurbished products. Not that this isn’t a fair price for a refurbished item, but it should not be listed as new. (Unless the Woot entry bot made a boo-boo, and accidentally added the R?)
After talking to the vendor we’ve confirmed that this item is 100% new, not refurbished. I am looking into the details with the model number.
Ok- looks like the mystery “R” was just a superfluous addition to the model number. Everything should be corrected soon. Thanks for pointing that out!
