These belts can’t hold your pants up because they connect to the belt loops and do not connect to themselves.
Craziest got dam thing I ever seen.
Weird, granted, but they do apply a constant tension across the waist button (the critical part of this force diagram).
I’m still puzzled by the SIZE/fit question: one graphic suggests 35" around, max - how much stretch does this enable? Might be a gamble.
I bought one of these from Temu (under $3) to try with my jeans & i went back to my regular belts. It seems very flimsy & stretchy & if it is tight or when you bend down the clip/connector piece that holds the 2 pieces together twists. I found I was hoisting up my jeans often with this belt. Ill add pics, but i think these are for girls on the thin side & more for show, not really meant for a belt. The mothership also sells this similar type https://www.amazon.com/Women-Buckle-Free-Elastic-Belt-Jeans/dp/B07KQXYSFX & the pic in the 1st review shows how it pulls on the belt loops.
Anyways here’s what I meant.
The one I have may be a cheaper quality (because temu?), but you get an idea of opinions.
Purchased one years ago from amazon and am very happy with it.
