I’d like to see something with analog-to-HDMI upconversion in this price range… but I don’t think it’s going to happen anytime soon.

I just wish the lower end units would have a phono input (pre-amp) but that won’t happen either.

For a turntable that doesn’t have a built-in amp? I’m missing something here, because I can’t see a reason you couldn’t send that to normal RCA inputs on any receiver.

I don’t see any warranty disclosure anywhere - Hi staff - what is the warranty on this receiver please???

Also I am a electronics idiot need some help form a knowledgeable person/s - can this unit be configured as a 5.1 system instead of 7 speakers please? A second also…What does it mean by a two room system - can it have a sencond set of speakers for an adjoining room?

Thanks folks !

Nic

A magnetic phono cartridge is a low voltage output device (millivolts - thousandth of a volt). The normal RCA input expects about a volt. Result, you will hear almost nothing if you run a turntable’s input directly into a standard RCA socket.

Right, for a turntable without pre-amp. You could get a pre-amp or a turntable with a built-in pre-amp.

Thanks for the quick a/v lesson!

Sorry, late with this. But figured I’d post for a future sale. It’s the last thing on the sales/Features page:

Warranty: 1 Year Yamaha

And there’s a link to the warranty too.
