well ya coulda named this thread ‘the leaky roof yammerers’…just saw that my kitchen ceiling has a huge wet area…right where the ceiling was replaced a couple of years ago.
damn skylight - I have sealed it numerous times but that has gotta be where its leaking…again

Better name than the leaky pants yammerers.
Skylights are notorious for developing leaks . . . and usually by the time they leak enough to be noticed, no amount of sealing caulk helps because the wood sheathing has deteriorated.
yeah…I know…yippee
when we redid the roof we debated about pulling the skylight permanently…but didn’t. It really adds light into what would otherwise be a dark and dreary kitchen come winter.
