I got some black Bates Boots from Woot! a few month ago. They are more comfy today than the day I got them. I wear them every day. They are great for the price.

anyone know if they are steal tow? Just wondering, cause i had a pair of bates that were. Love these boots! I have been in the market for a new pair and these are a great deal!

I have very similar Bates boots. Very comfortable.

I also have older dress shoes and boots purchased from the Marine Corps PX on Camp Lejeune. Still going strong. Everyone wanted to upgrade to Bates.

Can’t comment on these directly, but 3 reviewers on Amazon say good things as well.

So… how do the sizes run? I have an 8 and an 8 1/2 that fit identical. Not sure which size to go for now :frowning:

I think the appeal is a cheap waterproof boot. I appreciate comfort but that belies the value of this boot. It should be impervious to water, muck, snow and all manner of infiltration. if the boot is THAT boot then its worth 60 bucks…
