I’ve had three Fitbit charges, and they have all died before a full year. Plus Fitbit says they only have a year warranty starting with your original device, not on the individual devices. So if your Fitbit dies and you get a replacement, your warrany does not start over on the new device.

Do NOT buy a Fitbit! They are poorly designed and fall apart and they refuse to address the issue. I’ve had multiple Charges and they have all been defective. Don’t go with a company that leaves their customers with a 100% defective rate and claims that there is no problem.

This is the same experience for me with the Charge HR. While the device is great itself, the band kept peeling up after 3-6 months of usage. I’m now on my third one and only have a month left til my warranty expires. When this one inevitably starts peeling, I’ll be switching to a different brand. The last time I replaced it I tried talking to support about the issue and they gave me a standard “this isn’t expected to happen” answer, and asked me to ship mine back in for them to investigate. I never heard back, still received a standard Charge HR, and they wasted my time and money to try and fake me out.

A bit of time googling shows that the problem I have is happening for a tremendous amount of people.
