I own a Leek (all black). It’s a great knife. The safety lock broke on mine and Kershaw sent a repair kit free of charge. I could have sent the knife in if I had wanted.
It arrived very sharp and has maintained a wonderful edge. This is my EDC.
Confirm this is a Ken Onion Leek?
It was curious that his name was not mentioned as creator…
Is the Leek a Frame Lock or a Liner Lock?
Liner lock. All Leeks are made in the USA. I own a couple of them, bought one, liked it so much I bought another to have as backup. Might have to make it 3, so very tempting to add to my collection.
Yeah, Ken Onion designed the Leek. Todd Rexford designed the Injection.
Cool! This will be my third Ken Onion piece then.
Wrinkle, Ripple, and now Leek. Now if only I had gone with the Ken Onion Shun kitchen blades…but alas, there isn’t a fully complete set.
Ditto. I have the all-black Leek from a previous Woot. The only gripe is that if you carry it in a back pocket, the clip tends to snag on car seats, but that might have more to do with the non-standard size of my butt than any characteristic of the knife.
The point on the Leek is a reasonable substitute for an X-Acto, and if you mess it up you can mail the Leek (don’t know about the Injection) back to Kershaw and get the blade replaced for $10.
