Comments/Discussion from a previous offer
Bought this before. It’s pretty nice. Well built, comfortable for hiking and such. My only complaint is that it’s a little small for what my initial purpose was(as a carryon to replace my roller as I wanted a backpack style), but it’s still real nice
Bought one a few months ago. Very durable and versatile. Just came back from Grand Canyon Zion NP trip and this was fantastic! Used as a carryon on plane. Once there I loaded up and used on hikes. Lots of small compartments inside and out. Backpack straps store inside zippered compartment when no needed.
These are going for $89 on Amazon and have 5/5 reviews. Grab em quick!!!
Meh. They were $50 on Amazon two days ago.
Google Wal-Mart tactical backpacks and you will see that these don’t appear to be that great. The 600d polyester construction is rather flimsy compared to a true tactical pack such as the 5.11 rush. It’s 1050d water resistant nylon is great for people who need high performance from their gear. These bags are for those who want to tactically carry their ipads.
What’s going on Woot??? This was $39.99 last time!!!
I might have bought another if the price didn’t go UP!
Shame on you…
I ordered this bag on a previous Woot offer. It arrived with the main zipper DOA (it separates after you zip it shut). I really like the bag, but can’t get any response from Yukon about the zipper. 5 attempts to contact, 0 replies.
You should have just contacted Woot. Woot has one of the best Customer Service Departments I have EVER seen… They are the best!
I bought and used my Yukon Deployment bag on an Alaskan trip and one of the shoulder straps started ripping…Contacted Woot when I got back and they just said “Not a problem, Do you want your money back or do you want us to ship a new Bag?” Absolutely PAINLESS!!!
The Customer service guys ROCK!
What @throback said. But I also just sent a note to the buyers to have a Yukon Outfitters rep pop into the thread, if possible. Sit tight!
Paid $39 last time. Love the bag, big enough for a weekend for both my wife and I. I would have gotten another at $39. Oh well.

To fix your bag zipper:
1)Bring the zipper to its fully-open position.
2)Grab a pair of channel-lock pliers. With pliers, grab entire zipper firmly. Slowly apply pressure on the entire zipper (squeeze pliers firmly, but slowly). Do it just a little.
3)Test zipper. If zipper separates again, repeat from item number 1. Do it incrementally because there’s such a thing as a zipper that’s too tightly crimped.
Enjoy your new bag.
Wow, sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and lack of response. Someone’s getting put into timeout today for sure!
We’ve sent you a PM to address your problem directly, and will help to get a replacement out to you immediately.
Thank you for your patience and we promise to make it right!
Quality post! This is a great quick fix.
If that doesn’t work, please reach out to use at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks very much.
It works. I’ve done it on 2 of those bags in the past. Cheers!
+1 For loving the bag, but being surprised the price went up on woot. Still probably worth it at $50, though.
And in a slightly off-topic but zipper-related question… I got a (not-Yukon) backpack from woot a little while ago that was just missing one zipper pull completely. I don’t care enough to try to return the bag or anything, but… is shipping out just a zipper pull something that could be done? Is it difficult/possible to put a new zipper pull on a zipper that’s fully attached?
How much weight would this bag carry?
I would just get an “universal zipper pull” and install that. Very easy to install. In an emergency, I’ve used zip-ties in the past. Also safety pins.
