Yikes. The knife in this kit looks much more like a fighting knife than a traditional survival knife. Mainly that handle. It’s blocky, which is good for gripping it in a short fight, but a nightmare for prolonged bushcraft use. Looks like a good fixed blade self defense knife, tho, and maybe the edges are more rounded off than they look.
I really like the look of that pack.
I’ve been pretty happy with Yukon’s products thus far. I have several of their bags which are nice quality. Finally bit the bullet and bought this kit, mainly as a ‘get home bag’ to stash in trunk of my car. May take the hammock out to make room for some survival food or more first aid gear.
