Just call me stupid (go on,do it), but some of the hardware alone may be worth it.
It’s funny, I have $500 studio mics, and $300 performance mics, but there are times when my Woot mics (Blue Yeti, Sampson Meteor) work better in certain acoustic situations. Keep in mind I only record voice, not music.
I also want to use this mic as a comparison example example on my upcoming audiobook about podcasting.
Also, if you are just thinking about podcasting, this is a cheap way to make some recordings and see if you suck.
