Rod definitely worth the 15 extra.
I purchased a few for about $8-14each new just before/during pandemic to take elderly with severe arthritis fishing.
If you take care of any of these, despite what any would say, they should last decades.
No problem handling decent size saltwater fish and catfish and carp.
