Zing Toys Desktop Sports - Two Pack

I would gladly pay five times as much for such a lovely set of junk.

I don’t get the Michael reference? Is it to Phelps and smoking the reefer?

er…do these actually DO anything or does the kid just sit and stare?

these look pretty flimsy

Generally favorable reviews for the Zing toys on Amazon:

Magnet is the word.

My guess is that with people loosing jobs all over hell, that desktop games are not exactly “hot” items…

I know that if I had this on my desk at the university - there would be a few raised eyebrows as to my work load!

It appears that they do actually have some user-activated action!

The balls are magnetic, and if you look at the picture, the “players” have what appear to be levers with which to throw or putt the ball. Several of the football players do not appear to be interactive.

Not worth $10, unless they were USB powered. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d have to agree. I have a few random Transformers on my side desk mainly for looks/conversation points, plus an assortment of 8 Woot monkeys stretching across my back wall because people like the screaming, but I do not have an actual toy on the desk. Even the “desktop darts” someone gave me as a gift went home rather than gamble on appearances.

I suppose I should have said, “in the words of Colonel Jack O’Neil, ‘magnets!’”

This one had me scratching my head for a while, too. I think it’s about Michael Vick, who allowed his PETA membership to lapse.

While the boss is away, I will play.

Then again, my boss will want to play with me.

At my other job, I had a set of mini-Magnetix near where people would sit/stand when they came in my office. Everyone would play with them and build something while talking to me.

So tell your boss & co-workers that it’s not for you… it’s to put your visitors at ease.

It’s about Michael Vick. Part of what he was accused of involved drowning puppies that didn’t make the cut.

Not actually intended for kids. Note the warning about small parts/choking hazard in the description. It’s pretty clear to me that these are for the workplace.
