Maybe when your lighter left Amazon, it was in the box and someone decided to pilfer it en route to you. Did you contact Customer Service?

Yeah I’m sure that when a company, whether the manufacturer or a distributor, has some kiond of one-in-ten-thousand issue with an item, they’re thinking specifically about you and how to make your life worse.
This has happened to me a handful of times. Was I disappointed? Sure. But then all I did was contact support and they took care of it for me. I didn’t go around attacking forum members for just trying to help.
