I purchased 2 earlier versions of this, and they work, and they do communicate with the door sensors. The door sensors I was sent had dead batteries but that was not a big issue for me. But you will have to replace the batteries probably yearly. The door sensors are the best part of the unit as false alarms from the motion of the sun made the video alarms sort of useless. There were no false alarms form the door sensors, and they worked each time someone opened the door.
A bigger complaint I is the base on the units I bought does not have a standard screw hole for cameras and the unit only rotates left right not up down. If it had a convenient screw hole in the base it would be easy to mount the thing up high and adjust the angle to see a door way. As it is it takes up valuable counter space.
If someone knows a reliable easy way to mount a camera without proper mounting hardware, please post it in reply.
