There aren’t any pictures or descriptions talking about flipping this upside down, presumably that’s what you’d need to do to get the 6” rise, right?
Does it work with the long end upwards? Is it safe?
No flipping. You remove the pins and move the ball thingy up and down the piece with the holes. You can flip that ball thingy to the size ball you need.
Not sure I’m buying it. It wouldn’t seem to raise the bal 6” without flipping the chassis. If it can go down 6” now, the two hole move upwards cannot provide the same amount of rise.
In the second pic, with the dimensions, it shows the vertical height of 6”. So I’m sure you can flip this around for a lift, rather than a drop. The description written for this is trash, at one point there is product info talking about stopping robberies. So it’s not surprising that there is little valuable info in the details. But I’m my experience, most drop hitches can be flipped around so you can mount to a car. The really specialized hitches might be different but this is just like the one at harbor freight but way cheaper, looks nicer and has all the silencing, security pieces included. I couldn’t find a single review on the internet for this product but other items sold by zone tech has decent feedback.
