In for 2, WOOT!

This will be great for my old desktop I am converting into the guest bedroom internet cafe!

Can I use this as a wireless access point for my nintendo DS?

would this thing work with a PS2 for wireless

Does this work with linux, if yes is it difficult to get/ install the drivers?

This basically makes any computer Wi-Fi capable, just like a Wi-Fi PC card for a laptop except this goes into the USB port instead. You can get similar products for around $30 at the “Big Box Stores.”

The ps2 doesn’t natively support wireless, and you can’t plug this in to its usb port because it won’t recognize it without the proper drivers.

I’ve used products from Zyxel in the past and they work great!! (at least until the power supply in my computer fries everything!)

Also I’ve never had any trouble with Zyxel adapters working out-of-the-box or with little effort in Ubuntu!

Zyxel makes solid products too. Too bad they’re G and not N… I’m in need of a few good priced N usb cards

I checked Tivos webpage for a list of compatable USB Wireless adapters. This ISN’T on the list, but I was wondering if anyone has tried this and if it worked reguardless. Thanks

thanks. would an airport express work

In for 1!

The descriptions lists it as “V2” version 2 so it should be compatible with Vista.

I like the price and need one, so I’m in.

What’s the chipset (i.e., will it work passively and inject packets with Kismac?)

nope. This is essentially a receiver and you need a “transmitter”

It should work, but it requires some complex setting up. Here is a link to some instructions. On that page they’re using it to connect a home stereo to a wireless network instead of the ps2, but it should work exactly the same way for you setting up the ps2.
