this is a terrible brand, even for beginners, and it’s really frustrating to try to play when you spend the whole time fighting your reed. this was years ago but i started on mitchell lauries before moving to vandorens. i personally wouldn’t recommend them but i think even rico royals are probably better than these (and they are not great).

Rico is the brand my kid’s band teacher recommended :grimacing:

Rico reeds are fine to get started with, don’t worry; Glory are simply terrible.

I agree with @renatuslives. Plenty of band directors and others start beginners off with Rico, but students generally move beyond them as they get more serious.
