There is no deal! I remember Woot used to be cheap, with really good deals.

Dawn is good stuff. But all dishwasher liquid soap is mostly water. The “Platinum” version of Dawn is the most concentrated. We generally avoid “most of the product cost is their advertising”, overpaid brand managers, Proctor & Gamble, but we’ve found Dawn to be the best.

Do not waste money on the commercial version even if you find it at a comparable per price ounce - it is diluted for commercial large sinks. We tested it for home use vs Platinum and no contest. So we used up the big pump commercial variety and now refill that jug with the big 90 oz Platinum bottles… making it very easy to regularly refill the smaller bottles we use sink-side.

Sadly, we could not get an official answer from Dawn Customer Support about the relative concentrations of Platinum and Commercial?!? Two independent organizations, apparently clueless about the each other.

Dawn dish liquid was reformulated - maybe last year - and the new version cannot be easily rinsed off some materials, like (but not only) plastic. The first time I noticed it was in the taste of food. Recently got out my Calphalon stockpot which looked perfectly clean to make pasta and when I added water it was bubbly and looked soapy. After re-rinsing it SEVEN TIMES, I gave up and poured in two cups of white vinegar, scrubbed with that, and rinsed. That is what it took to remove Dawn dish soap residue. I have stopped buying it, but have a bottle for stains on clothing, and it is even very, very difficult to get the new scent off my hands after using it! There must be some reason, but I do not understand why to change a good product; hope they stop using it to clean birds after an oil spill haha.

If you want a decent value on dish soap, there’s a 5 gallon container that goes on sale regularly on Amazon $45 or so that’s pretty decent.
