Other than for the novelty, do these have any advantages over a typical projector screen which you have outside? I’m guessing that there are regular screens designed specifically for outside versus inside?
I’d like to think it’s just the novelty of easily inflating a screen than assembling a frame if you have one or just a plain screen tied up
In my little town, they show free movies during the summer in a local park. Last I knew, they were using an inflatable screen like this and it worked great. Everyone could see it the time I went.
Granted, that’s not something everyone would do, but the screen belonged to the guy who ran the movie, not the City. I can see how it would be fun during big parties, etc.
Just used ours at the beach for a birthday party/4th of July kids movie. Yes, it’s mostly novelty factor vs hard frame, you need to stake it down well to keep it from flying, it’s a bear to pack up, and you need to keep it dry or it will mildew (same fabric type like a tent). But honestly it is worth it because it is so much fun!
