What a crappy discussion. Does anyone know if the dimensions include the length of the hinges too? The seat I’d like to replace measures about 15" x 14" without the hinges.

In the US, there’s two standard toilet seat sizes - Round & Elongated. There’s not much variance in those unless you have a really odd or old toilet.
These are noted as being for round toilets.

Thank you for quick reply and informative diagrams. Mine’s not old but perhaps odd; I purchased the smallest turlet I could find for my miniature bathroom. I’ll take another dive and remeasure. Thanks again!
