Only problem with this is that the MGO that makes it cost sooooo much more than regular honey is extremely heat and light sensitive, so by the time it actually reaches the consumer, it’s just regular honey y’all paid WAYYYYY too much for.
They advertise all this testing and certification and stuff, but it’s all done BEFORE they’re shiped overseas in scalding hot shipping containers, and before being displayed in their pretty clear jars on shelves in full lighting, so it means nothing. Like slapping a gluten-free label on a steak. Just gets em more customers.
The manuka used in the medical field is shipped temperature controlled and tested AFTER as well, because the actual purity matters and they know shipping is sketchy and will probably screw it up.
Don’t waste your money on a fad, folks.
Thanks for the info, I have some other “premium” honeys (sourwood and rhododendron “mad” honey among them) but kind of wondered about this. So unless I can know how it’s transported fairly surely, I won’t bite.
